Note from Jim Newsome

We are less than eight weeks away from the 44th annual South Carolina International Trade Conference in Charleston. I would like to personally thank Watt Jackson for his program chairmanship and echo his excitement for what I know will be a great conference. This event has become one of the premier industry conferences with an extremely relevant agenda that addresses fast-changing industry trends. We are grateful for the media sponsorship and the participation of the Journal of Commerce. For the first time this year, it is being held in the beautiful new Gaillard Auditorium, affording more space for the sessions and exhibitors along with convenient access to the charm and amenities of downtown Charleston. Charleston is consistently rated by Conde’ Nast and Trip Advisor as one of the top cities in the world to visit and it simply gets better and better.

The event is sure to sell out so please make sure to register soon and join us for what I affectionately call “Woodstock for Shipping People ”, the South Carolina International Trade Conference.
